I am happy to be back-Koffi Olomide

When businessman-cum socialite Jack Pemba tipped us that he was flying in Koffi Olomide for his birthday, we thought it was just a publicity stunt. Not many people would expect the Selfie singer to return to East Africa so soon after the Kenya airport incident. The doubts got to Pemba and to show his seriousness, the tycoon released a video clip of the musician announcing his coming. Again, people thought he had given Koffi some money to stop at recording the clip. Well, now it looks like Pemba was not about creating hype for his birthday because on Wednesday a few journalists were called to Entebbe Airport to pick up Olomide. The singer last stepped foot in the country more than 10 years ago.

Pemba and Olomide share a light moment

“I am happy to be back in Uganda after a very long time. I want Ugandans to feel my love this Friday as we celebrate my friend Jack Pemba’s birthday,” Koffi said.
Pemba will be turning 44 and knowing how he likes to make every occasion count, we are certain that there will be a lavish party later this evening at Speke Resort Munyonyo.

Sad that only a few people will get the chance to catch Olomide do his thing as it is an invite-only birthday party with only 150 guests budgeted for.
