Gospel singer Levixone denies assaulting promoter

levixone

Levixone a gospel musician has denied assaulting a gospel music promoter Martin.

“I don’t know what that man is up to. I have never fought with him,” Levixone has said.

The gospel artiste was accused of hitting Martin at a hangout in  Kosovo-Lusaze, in Lungujja, a city suburb, last week. It is said that Levixone accused Martin of not playing or promoting his music and that Martin’s efforts to assure Levixone that music promotion starts with him signing a contract with a promoter fell on deaf ears. They say Levixone roughed up the promoter and tore his shirt. Due to that, Uganda Gospel DJs and Promoters slapped a ban on Levixone’s music and vowed not to play it again until he apologises to Martin. The  campaign is on and they have even designed and shared posters on social media, saying they will not promote his music until he apologises.

Levixone maintains that he is innocent. “Even people who were at Kosovo can testify. I didn’t tear his shirt as he alleges.”

The artiste says he is praying God forgives Martin.

“Our differences arose when he wanted to manage me and his efforts didn’t yield any fruit. I pray that God forgives him for his false accusations. If he wanted publicity, he would have used a right way,” the singer says.
