Isn’t it just like yesterday that Roast and Rhyme happened? What with preps underway for the next show? After two successful editions with local acts headlining at the event, looks like the Swangz avenue team is beginning to think outside the local box. Rumour reaching our desk is that Julius Kyazze and his partner Benon Mugumbya will be flying in Jamaica’s Morgan Heritage for the third edition of Roast and Rhyme. The five-member band famed for songs such as Don’t Haffi Dread, Tell Me How Come, You’ve Got Me, Perfect Love Song And I’ll Do Anything For You, among others had an epic show in Kenya last year. The just concluded Roast and Rhyme was headlined by Irene Ntale, Babaluku, Kaz Kasozi and Allan Toniks while the first edition had Maddox Sematimba, Navio and Steve Keys.
