This is definitely good news for Goodlyfe fans. The cover charge for Radio and Weasel’s Tonjagala album launch on May 11 has been cut by half. Revellers will this time pay only Shs10,000 instead of Shs20,000 they have been paying to watch the boys at their concerts over the last three years.
And this is not because the boys are getting cheaper. It is all to do with celebrating Uganda’s 50 years of independence. Apparently, 50 years Initiative Uganda, a campaign spear heading the celebrations of Uganda’s 50th independence anniversary is paying half the price for whoever will attend the show at Hotel Africana.
The organisers of the clebrations will in turn use the occasion to start the campaign to drum up to the October 9 celebrations by waving Uganda flags at the venue and creating awareness among fans for the celebrations. Sounds like a good deal to everyone involved, especially the fans who will spend less.
