What is the nature of your job?
I make jewellery for a living. I adorn earrings, bungles, necklaces and hand crafted materials.
Why would you go for such a business?
This business helps me be creative and I have always had the passion for it.

How much did you invest in it and how much do you think it is worth?
I invested time and money, but I never took the time to calculate or estimate how much it is worth because I am still investing in it.
Where did you get the money you invested in this business?
Previously, I worked at a recording studio so I just used the savings to start up.
How much do you sell your jewellery?
Necklaces cost between Shs20,000 and Shs80,000, bangles go from Shs10,000 to Shs40,000 and earrings from Shs10,000 to Shs30,000.
What is the difference between being employed and having your own business?
When you own a business, productivity increases and you have ample time to do other things, but it is a totally different thing when you are employed.
Where do you get the materials you use to make your jewellery?
I buy them from Rwanda, Kenya and some from here.
What type of materials do you use?
I use pearls, amulets, metal and beads.
How much do you earn in a month from this business?
I make around Shs300,000 to Shs500,000 if all goes well.
How do you go about this business?
People call to order and I make deliveries. I also use other platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Instagram.
