Earlier today, comedian Ann Kansiime held a press conference for her upcoming show dubbed ‘I am Kansiime’ at Imperial Royale hotel on the 24th of this month and besides being her maiden show, this is also going to be the first by a female comedian.
Speaking at the press conference, Kansiime promised that it’s going to be a thrilling performance that no one should miss out. “I’m ready to show you what exactly fascinates those people I perform for out there.”
She also explained why it has taken her this long to make a one-woman show yet she’s one of the biggest Ugandan exports in the entertainment industry. “Having been in the comedy industry for over 10 years now, I really felt I was not ready for such a big occasion. I felt that I hadn’t gathered enough material to last me enough time on stage but now, I believe I have all the content, to do my fans justice. So come around ready to expect the best from me.” Kansiime said.
Far from the usual skits you have been seeing, the close to 30 year old comedian will perform for two and a half hours in which she will exhaust all the different characters she has performed.
Gates will open at 6pm but the actual show will commence at 7pm. The early birds will get to interact with her during a cocktail that she has prepared for them. Meanwhile silver tickets cost Shs100,000, a gold table of 10 is at Shs3 million while a platinum table of ten is at Shs5 million.
