Social commentator Frank Gashumba has sparked conversation after claiming that his daughter, media personality Sheila Gashumba, has never used a taxi in her life.
Speaking during a talk show on Radio 4, Gashumba emphasized the lengths he has gone to ensure his children enjoy a life of comfort and privilege. He highlighted that providing them with the finer things in life has always been a priority.
“I swear upon Allah, she has never used a taxi in her life. For the fewest times, maybe she used a van to go to school at Kabojja, but that’s not a taxi,” Gashumba stated. “She has also only used the Scandinavian Express bus once for a trip.”
Gashumba was quick to clarify that his statements were not meant to boast but to share facts about his parenting journey. “When I say this, people think I am showing off, but these are facts. I personally have used taxis uncountable times,” he added.
His remarks have sparked discussions online, with many reflecting on the privileges and realities of growing up.
