Dancehall singer Empress opens up about breakup with Nutty Neithan

In an emotional revelation, Empress, a veteran Dancehall singer known for her hit song “Big Masavu“, has confirmed that she and her long-time partner, fellow Dancehall artist Nutty Neithan, have ended their relationship. The couple, who were together for over 11 years and share children, parted ways last year, though Empress had kept the details private until now.

Taking to her Instagram stories early on Saturday morning, Empress addressed the ongoing rumors and gossip surrounding her breakup with Nutty Neithan. She clarified the situation for her followers, revealing that the breakup was due to personal reasons she chose not to disclose.

“I would like to formally come out and inform the public that me and Nutty Neithan broke up last year due to personal reasons I won’t disclose,” Empress shared. “So to you all out there that have been constantly sending me videos, screenshots of him with his different conquests need to stop.”

The announcement came after several fans and social media users continued to send Empress videos and screenshots of Nutty Neithan with other women, sparking public speculation and unwanted attention. Empress, who had previously taken a break from her music career to focus on her relationship and family, made it clear that she and Nutty Neithan had both moved on from their relationship.

“I am not sure what your intentions are for doing this, but it’s not necessary though. We both moved on, so mwewumuze (move on). Thank you,” she added, sending a clear message to those continuing to stir the pot.

A Pause for Family

Empress had previously put her music career on hold to focus on her relationship and family life with Nutty Neithan. Their partnership was a major part of her personal life and career, with the two working together in the music industry for over a decade. However, it seems that the toll of personal issues eventually led to their separation.

Despite the public’s curiosity, Empress has chosen to keep the specifics of their breakup private, focusing instead on moving forward and protecting her peace. Her candidness in revealing the split reflects a desire to reclaim control over her narrative and stop the constant influx of gossip surrounding her former partner’s personal life.

The decision to go public about her breakup signals a significant step toward closure for Empress, who is now calling on the public to respect her privacy and stop sending unsolicited information. Empress has made it clear that she no longer wishes to be dragged into discussions about Nutty Neithan’s relationships or activities, instead preferring to focus on her own future.

While the details of the breakup remain unclear, Empress’s words suggest a sense of maturity and resolve. She’s ready to move forward with her life and music career, free from the distractions and negativity that often accompany public relationships.

As Empress continues to navigate this new chapter in her life, her fans are hopeful that the talented artist will soon return to the stage and reclaim her place in the music industry. For now, however, it’s clear that her priority is her personal well-being and peace of mind, away from the drama that surrounds her former relationship with Nutty Neithan.
