This new revelation was made on Wednesday before the Chief Magistrate, Ronald Kayizzi by prosecution led by Ms Lydia Nakato.

Ms Nakato asked court for a short adjournment in order to finalise with preparing the committal papers to have Nduhukire sent to the High Court to stand trial.

Nduhukire, 38, faces charges of aggravated trafficking and sexual exploitation of a minor.

While his co-accused Promise Ateete, 19, a personal assistant to Ntungamo Municipality Member of Parliament Yona Musinguzi is accused of procuring defilement.

According to the charge sheet, prosecution states that on May 3, 2024 at Acacia Avenue, Ateete procured a girl below the age of 18 to have unlawful sex connection with Nduhukire.

The two face charges of aggravated trafficking in children contrary to section 3(a) and 5(a) of the prevention of trafficking in persons Act, 2009 and defilement contrary to section 129(1) of the Penal Code Act CAP 120.

They were not allowed to take plea because the offences are capital in nature.

Prosecution states that Nduhukire and Ateete between May 23, 2024 between Acacia avenue , Tagore apartments Mwanda road in Kampala District and Kito Zone Kira Municipality, Wakiso District by means of fraud or of abuse of power or of a position  of vulnerability or received or transported or haboured a girl aged 16 for the purpose of sexual exploitation.

Nduhukire separately faces a charge of defilement.

Court also granted Ateete a cash bail of Shs3 million and ordered her to surrender her passport to the court’s registrar.

“I find the sureties presented substantial and the offence against the accused is bailable. The accused is hereby barred from traveling out of the country without the court’s permission and should report to court every first Monday of the month,” Mr Kayizzi ruled before further remanding Nduhkire until November 25 for mention of the case.

According to police Ateete befriended the victim through Snapchat before the two met physically at Aura Bar in Kololo on May 3, 2024.

It is further alleged that Ateete then introduced the victim to Nduhukire who took them to Kamokya Apartment where they were given cocaine before Ateete left and Nduhukire took the victim to his house where he reportedly had sex with her in the presence of another girl.

Nduhukire was arrested from neighbouring Kenya where he was hiding.
