Noise Nation festival returns: Dexta Daps, Ugandan stars, and cultural showcase Set for December

Uganda’s cultural scene is set to shine brighter than ever with the return of Noise Nation, a premier festival uniting communities through music, food, art, and crafts. Slated for December 14, 2024, at Lugogo Cricket Oval, this year’s event promises to be a landmark celebration of Ugandan creativity and unity. Organized by Swangz Avenue and House of DJs, the festival will be headlined by Jamaican dancehall icon Dexta Daps, whose global appeal and electrifying performances add international flair to an already vibrant lineup featuring Uganda’s finest artists and DJs.

Backed by Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL) with flagship brands Uganda Waragi Lemon and Ginger and Bell Citrus, Noise Nation has found a fitting partner that aligns with its mission of community engagement and creative celebration. According to UBL representative Justine Agaba, “This event is a vibrant platform that resonates with our brand’s emphasis on self-expression. Through this sponsorship, we look forward to building meaningful connections with our customers by supporting music, art, and fashion, which all bring people together.”

The festival promises an immersive experience, with gates opening at noon to welcome attendees into a world of live music, culinary delights, and hands-on art installations that showcase Uganda’s vibrant cultural tapestry. From mouth-watering local and international dishes to dynamic art displays and handmade crafts, Noise Nation will offer a rich sensory journey. The highlight, of course, is the musical showcase, where top Ugandan artists and DJs will perform alongside Dexta Daps, creating a memorable soundscape for all in attendance.

House of DJs’ James Byaruhanga highlighted the festival’s mission, saying, “Noise Nation is about uniting communities through music and creative expression. We are thrilled to bring Dexta Daps to Kampala, alongside our talented Ugandan lineup, for a day where food, music, arts, and crafts converge in a celebration of Uganda’s vibrant culture.”

Swangz Avenue’s Business Development Manager, Julius Kyazze, described Noise Nation as a lifestyle movement and cultural platform. “Noise Nation is more than just a festival—it’s a stage for Uganda’s unique vitality and pride. We invite everyone to experience a day of discovery, enjoyment, and connection.”

A standard ticket will go for Shs 200,000, VIP at Shs 300,000 and a table for 10 will cost you  Shs4m

With powerful music performances, stunning art showcases, and rich culinary offerings, Noise Nation is set to end the year with an unforgettable cultural celebration that amplifies Ugandan pride and creativity.
