Rock Fest Uganda to feature both local and international gospel acts in landmark celebration

This Friday, Uganda will host the inaugural Rockfest Uganda 2024, a unique global Christian music festival designed to unite hearts in praise and worship. Held at Lugogo Hockey Grounds, Rockfest brings a lineup of internationally renowned gospel artists alongside some of Uganda’s finest, creating a first-of-its-kind experience in the country. Attendees will be treated to electrifying performances by international headliners Frank Edwards, Judikay, DJ Horphuray, and Ada Ehi, with local stars Gabie Ntaate, John Marie, DJ Horphuray, and Jah Lead Music also taking the stage.

This festival aims to create a shared worship space where people from all backgrounds—regardless of tribe, denomination, creed, or language—can come together to lift their voices to heaven in unity and celebration.

Meet the International Headlining Acts

Judikay

Known offstage as Judith Kanayo Opara, Judikay is a joyful and vibrant artist whose music has become a global favorite. Known for her 2019 breakout single, More than Gold, Judikay’s soulful and worshipful songs like Capable God, Omema, and Man of Galilee have earned her a loyal fanbase. Her unique sound and devotion bring listeners closer to God, making her a highly anticipated act for Rockfest.

Frank Edwards

Frank Ugochukwu Edwards, popularly known as Frank Edwards, is a gospel music legend. With a career that spans songwriting, producing, and running a successful record label, Edwards’ ministry has reached millions. His powerful songs, including Mighty Ebube, Nothing Impossible, and Under the Canopy, are sure to be show-stoppers, carrying his message of hope and faith to the crowd in Kampala.

Ada Ehi

Ada Ogochukwu Ehi, better known as Ada Ehi, returns to Uganda following her memorable 2022 performance. Known for hits like Only You Jesus, You are Able, Congratulations, and her recent release Definitely, Ada’s music has touched hearts worldwide. Her stage presence and passion make her one of the most anticipated acts, bringing a deeply spiritual experience to the Rockfest stage.

Designed to welcome thousands in joyous celebration, Rockfest provides a perfect atmosphere for all to praise and worship God freely and openly. Rockfest Uganda 2024 will kick off at 4 pm at Lugogo Hockey Grounds. Tickets are available at UGX 30,000 for Standard entry and UGX 150,000 for VIP access. With an array of international and local talent, this festival promises to be an unforgettable event for all who attend—a chance to celebrate faith, unity, and the uplifting power of music.

Revellers coming together for this landmark event will be part of a truly transformative worship experience as Rockfest Uganda begins its journey on Ugandan soil.
