Nyege Nyege party warm-up offers a taste of the festival

The Safari Maze at Centenary Park was buzzing with excitement during the Nyege Nyege warm-up party, offering revelers a sneak peek of the highly anticipated 9th edition of the Nyege Nyege Festival. Attendees were also treated to an immersive Uganda Waragi cocktail experience, where they sampled the three distinct variants of the popular Ugandan gin.

Set to take place from November 14th to 17th in Jinja, this year’s Nyege Nyege Festival promises an explosion of music, culture, and creativity. Last night’s warm-up event gave partygoers a thrilling taste of what’s to come.

The night was filled with electric performances from a diverse lineup of artists, including CR33D, Madhiya, Arsenal Mikebe, Suda Culture, DJ Rocky, Aweko Briam, Hibotep, Reign Drops, Nsasi, and Turkana. Each artist brought their unique sound, filling the night with vibrant rhythms that kept the crowd dancing and energized.

Revelers also enjoyed a variety of mouthwatering Uganda Waragi cocktails, which added to the party’s lively atmosphere. The brand’s presence not only highlighted the spirit of celebration but also underscored the connection between Uganda Waragi and local culture.

Derek Debru, co-founder of Nyege Nyege, expressed his excitement for the upcoming festival and its growth over the years. “We’re thrilled to see how the festival has evolved. This year, we’re going bigger and bolder, showcasing Uganda’s culture and talent with partners like Uganda Waragi, who have supported us for years. Expect the best from us!”

Hillary Baguma, Brand Manager of Mainstream Spirits at Uganda Breweries Limited, emphasized the synergy between Uganda Waragi and Nyege Nyege. “Uganda Waragi is bold and vibrant, making it the perfect partner for an event like Nyege Nyege, which brings together creative arts and talent. As the spirit that binds us, Uganda Waragi celebrates all things uniquely Ugandan, uniting us in an experience like no other.”

The Nyege Nyege Festival is more than just music—it’s a celebration of culture, connection, and everything that makes Uganda special. This year’s edition is shaping up to be an unforgettable showcase of the country’s vibrant spirit.
