After over three weeks of dedicated work in Zanzibar on their first-ever all-star album, Swangz Avenue has officially released the lead single titled “God Ye Buddy.”
This powerful gospel track features an impressive lineup of Swangz Avenue artists, including Azawi, Vinka, Elijah Kitaka, Zafaran, and Winnie Nwagi, alongside guest artist Levixone. Produced by the talented Bangar Boi and mixed by Steve Keys, “God Ye Buddy” is a celebration of faith, friendship, and the constant love of God.
The song brings together these artists in a harmonious expression of how God is not only their guide but their best friend, always present in their lives. The message of hope and gratitude runs deep throughout the track, which is already resonating with audiences far and wide.
The music video, directed by Marvin Musoke, adds to the song’s spiritual aura. The artists are dressed in immaculate white outfits, symbolizing purity and holiness. Their serene appearance visually complements the song’s theme of grace and devotion, creating a stunning aesthetic that makes “God Ye Buddy” a captivating watch.
Filmed at the Martyrs Shrine Church in Munyonyo, the video enhances the spiritual atmosphere, reflecting the song’s uplifting nature. This album, born out of the Swangz Avenue Creative Camp in Zanzibar, is set to be a landmark project for the label.
