The UK’s leading ABBA tribute act, ABBA Re-Björn, is set to make their debut performance in Uganda with a two-day concert in Kampala.

During a press briefing to announce the event, Peter Bowser, the event promoter and proprietor of Somewhere Else, assured the press that all preparations are in place and promised a fun-filled experience for attendees next weekend.

“I wish to assure ABBA fans that we’re more than ready to host a world-class event. Our team has worked tirelessly to ensure this will be as memorable as it should be. With the help of our partners, we’re excited to see everyone come ready to have a great time, reminisce about the good old days, and create new memories to cherish,” Bowser said.

He added that revelers who show up in ABBA-inspired attire, such as groovy suits, bellbottom jeans, or disco-ready spandex catsuits, will receive special recognition.

The two-day event, scheduled for September 6th and 7th, is powered by NTV, KFM, and I&M Bank, which is offering a 10% discount on tickets purchased using MasterCard. The concerts will take place at Somewhere Else Bar and Restaurant in Naguru, with tickets priced at Shs150,000.

Bowser also emphasized that tickets are limited, as each show will accommodate only 400 attendees. ABBA Re-Björn is known for their professional performances, complete with Swedish accents, tight harmonies, high-energy shows, and replica costumes, making them one of the most authentic-sounding tributes to ABBA. With their captivating performances, fans are guaranteed a night of dancing and nostalgia.
