Until now, Blankets and Wine has been trending on X because of the exceptional performances by all the artistes on stage.
The event that happened Sunday evening at Lugogo grounds was everything revelers anticipated.
Earlier on, Afsa Umutesi, head producer of the event had said that this year’s edition would be the most diverse and exciting yet with a mix of established legends and rising stars with the crowd set for a world of music, art, and unforgettable experiences.
The event featured two stages, with the main one having live performances from Andereya Baguma, Blu*3, Karun, Sun El Musician X Simmy, Joshua Baraka, Mootownoh and Kivumbi King.
Stage two known as ‘The Onja Onja Stage’ featured mainly deejay performances from Etania, Flo Moon, R3ign Drops, Masaka Masaka and That Guy Em on the decks.
Revelers braved the rain to enjoy Joshua Baraka’s performance and interestingly, he did not disappoint. He did half of his catalogue for the 40 minutes he was on stage referring to it as the ‘Baraka jam session’. He did songs like Nana, Omukwano, No Lie, Tewekweka, Moonlight and Tonight among others.
Interesting about his performance is that he would switch from his songs to throw in some covers before returning to the original song without any distractions. The crowd also participated by singing his songs word for word.
From Joshua Baraka, Blu *3 was announced to come on next but that arrangement was switched up a little bit. Instead of coming together on stage, the ‘3 Beautiful Ladies from Uganda first performed solo before returning as a group.
Clad in Blue outfits, Blu *3 started off their performance with Strong Woman before jumping onto other songs like Hitaji, Mutima Gwange, Frisky Remix, Where You Are and Burn being joined on stage by Navio.
The festival also featured a dedicated family area with bouncy castles that offered free admission to children to 12-years as well as a variety of vendors offering food, drink, fashion, and craft.
