Blankets and Wine set to return with its most exciting and diverse edition yet

On 29 September 2024, Kampala will come alive with the return of Blankets and Wine, an in-city festival offering an eclectic mix of music, fashion, food, and family-friendly activities. Known for its unforgettable music experiences, this edition promises to be the most diverse yet, catering to music lovers of all ages.

Afsa Umutesi, the Head Producer of the event, expressed excitement about the upcoming edition. “We’re thrilled to host vibrant artists and performers in Kampala, providing an in-city festival experience for Uganda. This edition is shaping up to be our most diverse and exciting yet. With a mix of established legends and rising stars, there’s something for everyone. Get ready to immerse yourself in a world of music, art, and unforgettable experiences,” Umutesi said.

Attendees will be treated to two stages of electrifying performances from both local and international artists. The Blankets Stage will showcase performances by Andereya Baguma, BLU 3, Karun, Sun El Musician X Simmy, Joshua Baraka, Mootownoh & Kivumbi King. Meanwhile, the Onja Onja Stage will feature DJ sets by Etania, Flo Moon, R3ign Drops, Masaka Masaka, and That Guy Em.

In addition to the music, the festival will offer a dedicated family area with free admission for children aged 0-12, alongside a vibrant market featuring vendors selling food, drinks, fashion, and crafts.

Justine Mbugua, Head of Festivals, emphasized that Blankets and Wine is more than just a concert. “Our festival is a multi-faceted experience. It’s about creating shared memories and an atmosphere that transcends the individual acts on stage.”

With a diverse lineup and a wide range of activities, this edition of Blankets and Wine promises an experience worth reliving for all attendees.
