Musician Bebe Cool has been chosen as the headlining act at this year’s World Tourism Day that will be happening in Kasese this month. During a press conference recently, the artiste called upon the government to invest more money in the tourism sector because of its potential in creating patriotism.
“I ask the government to give the ministry of Tourism a bigger budget because it is the vehicle that can solve the problem we have today of mindset and patriotism,” Bebe said. He added that with his vast travel experience, Uganda is not named the Pearl of Africa for nothing but simply because of its beauty and that the only way to see that beauty is through travelling.
The launch of the Tourism Month happened at Fairway Hotel and different activities are ongoing until September 29 under the theme ‘Tourism and Peace’.
