Amooti Omubalanguzi wanted bigger venue as for celebrates 25 years in comedy show

Amooti Omubalanguzi

Renowned comedian Amooti Omubalanguzi, real name is Allan Mujuni, is preparing for a momentous celebration of his 25-year journey in the comedy industry. The event, titled “25 Years of Amooti,” will take place on December 13, 2024, at the UMA Showgrounds in Lugogo.

Fans have responded enthusiastically to the announcement, though some have raised concerns about the choice of venue, suggesting it may not accommodate the anticipated crowd for such a significant milestone. In addressing these concerns, Amooti explained that while he initially aimed for a larger venue, the promoters he worked with were hesitant to make the necessary arrangements.

“I had my heart set on a bigger location, but the initial promoters couldn’t make a decisive commitment,” Amooti said. “I eventually decided to partner with Cyclon Events, who were eager to secure the UMA Showgrounds and are committed to delivering a fantastic experience for my fans.”

Originally, Amooti considered hosting the event at Namboole (Mandela National Stadium) or the Serena Hotel Kampala, but logistical issues led him to prioritize a venue that offered reliability and confidence in execution.

As the date approaches, excitement is building for what promises to be an unforgettable night filled with laughter and nostalgia, celebrating Amooti’s incredible contributions to the comedy scene over the past 25 years. Fans can look forward to a showcase that honors both his journey and the joy he has brought to audiences throughout his career.
