Katogo mix thrills Entebbe golfers

Weekends of back-to-back activity have not emanated any signs of fatigue from the members of Entebbe Golf Club (EGC).
Last weekend yet again left many in awe and ecstasy after many enjoyed the 19th hole experience entertainment after a field of 173 players competed in the Katogo Golf Series presented by I&M Bank.

While there had been a lot of fanfare thanks to a catchy format of play called ‘Tee For Me’ which yielded surprise winners Andrew Kibaya and Edward Kabuchu. The prize giving ceremony was lit up by a mixture of performances on stage.

Event host, comedian Patrick Salvado Idringi conducted the evening smoothly as a cocktail of performances, mixture loosely translated as katogo, from Kenneth Mugabi, Ssewa Ssewa and Micheal Ouma brought the night to life.

This round of golf of the series also was used to mark the golden jubilee celebrations for I&M Bank.
“50 years to be honest, we have to really give you credit,” remarked EGC chairman Jacob Byamukama. “I said a lot of sorries to my partner,” he then said of the day’s format of play.

“We do appreciate your steadfast service to the financial world,” remarked Katogo vice-captain Andrew Kibaya.
Katogo, whose patrons are Kiwanuka and Kabuchu, in an EGC member franchise which comprises about 100 members since 2008 and they would come together for a local katogo meal after a round on the par-71 course.
