By blending the excitement of a charity golf tournament with the cultural richness of a photo exhibition, the WEHAT Foundation aims to tackle educational barriers through innovative and community-driven fundraising.
Known for its lush landscapes and challenging layout, the Kitante Golf club provides an ideal setting for a day of competitive play and community gathering.
The tournament will culminate with an evening awards ceremony and the opening of the photo exhibition showcasing the work of Molly Kabamoli. Guided by renowned photojournalist Faith Ariho, Kabamoli ventured into Bwindi National Park and its surrounding community to capture stunning images of gorillas and local scenery.
The images will be auctioned during the event, offering attendees a unique opportunity to support educational initiatives while promoting Uganda’s tourism potential. The fundraising goal for this event is Shs150 million.
The funds will be allocated towards several key initiatives such as paying school fees for 20 students for a year, revamping and rehabilitating a school, and supporting various educational programmes.
