Double Trouble: Gravity and Mickie Wine schedule concerts on same day

Luga Flow artist Gravity Omutujju has announced a concert on the same day as Mickie Wine, the younger brother of musician Bobi Wine. Gravity Omutujju will hold his “Embaga Ya Isma N’amina” concert at the Lugogo Cricket Oval on September 7, a venue he has used for previous concerts. Mickie Wine will hold his “Tusaabale” concert at Jahazi Pier in Munyonyo on the same date.

This overlap has sparked speculation about the motives behind the scheduling conflict, given the ongoing tension between Gravity Omutujju and Bobi Wine. However, Mickie Wine has clarified in an interview that the coincidence is unintentional and that he is not competing with Gravity; rather, he is responding to his fans’ demands.

This is not the first time Gravity Omutujju has scheduled a concert on the same day as another artist. Last year, he held his “Okwepicha” concert on the same day as Navio’s 20-year celebration at Sheraton Hotel.
