The search for this year’s Miss Tourism Uganda still in regional stages

This year’s Miss Tourism Uganda Beauty Pageant was launched few months ago at Sheraton Hotel Kampala. Shortly after the launch, the team has been traversing in different areas to crown regional beauty Queens that will represent their region at the grand finale that will take place at Kampala Serena Hotel on September 13th.

This year’s theme is Tourism and Peace and according to the organisers of the pageant, the different winners will be Tourism and Peace Ambassadors for Uganda wherever they go. Over the weekend, the team was in the Eastern part of Uganda where they made a stop at Victoria Coconut Beach Majanji in Busia district.

After the successful event, Rebecca Nabirye was crowned Miss Tourism Eastern and Maria Celestine Nabonyo and the second runner up Deborah Logose Wayabire. These three will join the other regions at the grand finale to tussle it out for the top prize. For this weekend, the search will head to Kigezi region for the Miss Tourism Kigezi that will take place at Immaculate Heart Girls School.

The regions taking place in the Miss Tourism Uganda 2024/25 edition include Kigezi, Central, Northern, Eastern, West Nile, Western and Tooro among others. The winner like in the past years will represent Uganda in the different International Tourism Pageants.
