The Preparations for Miss Tourism Northern is in the final stage as the event is set to happen on Saturday at Lira Hotel in Northern Uganda. The pageant crowns young girls that are educated and have knowledge on domestic tourism and after crowning, the winners become Uganda’s tourism ambassadors.
As other regions have already crowned their winners and more yet to crown, Northern Uganda will crown the winner, first and second runner up and these will join the rest of the winners on September 13 at Kampala Serena Hotel to vie for the top prize. The overall winner at the grand finale will be crowned Miss Tourism Uganda 2024/25 and will be awarded prizes and among them will be a brand new car.
The winner will then head to Malaysia in November to represent Uganda in the Miss Tourism International. The reigning Miss Tourism Uganda is Nabukonde Kiyayi Ruokaya who was crowned in an event that happened at Serena Hotel last year on 9th September 2023 under the theme Greening Tourism. This year’s theme is Tourism and Peace.
