Iryn Namubiru warns: Don’t underestimate your house helps

Iryn Namubiru

Musician Iryn Namubiru has issued a warning to individuals who employ house helps, cautioning them against underestimating their employees. According to Namubiru, domestic workers, including shamba boys, maids, and house helps, may appear uninterested and uninformed, but they are actually quite aware of their surroundings. “They have phones and social media accounts, which you may not be aware of, and can use them to harm you without your knowledge,” she posted on Snapchat.

Namubiru further revealed that these employees often know more than they let on and can use this knowledge against their employers. “They will attack you, reveal personal information, insult you, and watch you succumb to depression or insanity. They will even listen in on your private conversations with friends,” she warned.

The ‘Nkuweki‘ artiste advised individuals with house helps to take the time to get to know them and treat them with kindness, as they may be more intelligent and aware than they seem. “Be nice to them, because they know your next move and can use it against you,” she cautioned.
