Many young musicians dream of getting signed by prominent record labels, but Irene Ntale, a seasoned RnB singer, has no desire to join a label again. After being signed with Swangz Avenue, a leading record label in the country, she now prefers working independently with her small team, valuing the understanding and transparency they share.
Ntale clarified that her decision to part ways with her former label stems from deeper issues than simply seeking control over her career. “It doesn’t make sense to have your music everywhere, yet you’re struggling financially. That’s a terrible situation,” she explained in an interview with YouTuber Saymore Official. “Now, I earn money and get to see it and count it with my own hands. If I make a loss, I accept it.”
Irene Ntale is a talented guitarist, songwriter, and musician who began her journey singing in church at 16 and later performed as a backup artist at a Kampala hotel before being discovered by Swangz Avenue in 2013. She worked with the label until 2017, when they amicably parted ways.
