Willar Star and Ava Peace team up on infectious new single ‘Kibuga’

Despite a slow year for collaborations in the Ugandan music industry, Risky Music’s Willar Star and Team No Sleep’s Ava Peace have joined forces on a catchy new track titled ‘Kibuga’. The song’s chorus is undeniably memorable, and its title and melody are inspired by Halima Namakula’s classic hit of the same name.

Producer Artin Pro delivers top-notch production and mastering, while JahLive’s visuals are equally impressive. The music video, shot in just two locations, features a minimalist and colorful aesthetic, with the director skillfully highlighting the artists and blurring the background in some scenes.

Willar Star, born Edwin Ninsiima in Mengo, is known for his hits like ‘Summertime’, ‘Malaika’, and ‘Tik Tak’. Ava Peace, whose real name is Namugonza Maureen Peace, is a talented artist and performer who has captured fans’ hearts with her unique blend of Afrobeat, Dancehall, and R&B music.

‘Kibuga’ is a refreshing addition to the Ugandan music scene, and the collaboration between Willar Star and Ava Peace is a welcome surprise. With its infectious beat and memorable chorus, this song is sure to stick in listeners’ heads.”
