Ugandan rapper Zedmonk set to attempt Guinness World Records Longest Rap Marathon

Zedmonk Ssabatontomi is on a mission of attempting to make the Guinness World Records for the longest rap marathon by an individual.

Zedmonk, real name Akram Kabuubi will be attempting to make this record this Friday at Namaste restaurant and bar Kampala and he is looking at 80 hours of rap.

Currently, the record is held by Japanese rapper Poney, standing at 48 hours and 10 minutes. Poney broke the record in 2023, breaking Daniel Alcon’s 39-hour record. Upon his record breaker, Poney said: “Now that my record is nine hours longer than the previous record, it will be hard for anyone else to break it.”

Zedmonk Ssabatontomi is an award-winning artist, freelance actor, freestyler, and humanitarian under the office of the Ambassador for Women and Girls Uganda, an influencer with RapAdverts, Founder/ CEO TRT Entertainment Africa, Founder of the Zedmonk Foundation and host of an online hip-hop show called RapWithZedmonk.

The teenage rapper was born on November 18, 2003. He started rapping in 2019 during his Senior four vacation and released his first song called ‘Byokola’, a dedication to Andy Events Music label and promoter Zest for giving him his first musical breakthrough.
