After having a go at Levixone and Pr Bugembe among others, singer Denis Lanek’s recent target was Gabie Ntaate. The ‘Kanyimbe Mu Nimi’ artiste said Ntaate is not fit to be a gospel artiste because she belongs to the Seventh-day Adventist religion.
All efforts to have Ntaate reply to Lanek’s accusation have not yielded anything, as she refused to comment. However, the two will be facing off in the 12th edition of the annual VIGA awards.
Both artistes have been nominated in the Most Outstanding Afropop/Zouk/Kwaito song category with Gabie Ntaate’s ‘Cheza For Yesu’ up against Lanek’s Kwani, among other nominees.
With this nomination, it means both artistes will be attending the award ceremony slated for June 29 at Kampala Serena Hotel.
