Czech Republic’s Krystyna Pyszkova wins 71st Miss World

Czech Republic’s Krystyna Pyszkova? has won the 71st Miss World

Czech Republic’s Krystyna Pyszkova on Saturday won the coveted Miss World 2024 title at a grand event in Mumbai. The beauty pageant saw Indian contestant Sini Shetty only making it to the top 8. Miss Lebanon Yasmina Zaytoun was named the first runner-up.

Reigning Miss World Karolina Bielawska from Poland crowned her successor at the star-studded finale.

Miss Uganda, Hannah Karema was able to make it to top 8 in the 71st Miss World (2024) contest. The announcement came at 1700 EAT and it blew several Ugandans away. The top 8 also has contestants from Brazil, T&T, Botswana, Czech republic, England, India and Lebanon.

For the Miss World competition, Hannah and her colleagues have spent 3 weeks training in several bootcamps. These included sports competitions, top model, beauty with a purpose, head-to-head challenge, Talent challenges and Multimedia.

Before going to India, during her reign, Hannah did charity work, and also did a homecoming project in her village in western Uganda.

A few days ago, Karema was ranked among the queens with the best “beauty with a purpose” projects. Her project came in 7th place behind Indonesia, Nepal, Turkey, the Czech Republic, Ukraine and Botswana. In a video, Karema could be seen super excited and hugging fellow contestants. Beauty queens from 120 countries had to tussle it out for this year’s Miss World crown. Surprisingly, Uganda’s very own Hannah Karema was announced among the winners during the grand finale on March 9, at Mumbai’s Jio World Convention Centre.
