Bebe Cool’s last album Go Mama came in 2014 and for many, it was a hit, with songs such as ‘Love You Everyday’, Go Mama, Freedom, Mandela, among others. Ten years later, Bebe Cool is back in studio to do a 15-track album titled Breaking Chains. However, unlike Go Mama, 70 percent of Bebe Cool’s new body of work is being done in Nigeria.
Why he named the album Breaking Chains, Bebe Cool said he wanted to change people’s mindsets.
“I want to break the mentality and mindset of thinking that as Africans, everyone has to fight individually and I respect the Nigerian music industry for this cause,” he said.
The Question artiste also said five songs off this album were written by a Nigerian writer called Dino while Phil Keys and Sugar Vibes also from Nigeria produced some of the songs, as well as Producer Ronnie.
