When you think about everything Rema Namakula has achieved over the years, you may easily forget she had a beginning.
Rema Namakula first graced Ugandan airwaves alongside Rachel K, Halima Namakula’s daughter on a song, ‘Maisha’.
After that, she was launched onto the scene by Bebe Cool with the songs ‘Cease and Sekkle’ and ‘Missing You’. Over those years, she soon stood her own with ballads that wrote her name in stone both as a vocalist and love merchant.
On February 23, Namakula will host a concert at the Sheraton Hotel Gardens, and to that effect, earlier today, she held a press conference to talk about the upcoming show.
The show partly sponsored by Nation Media Uganda is the artiste’s first since her show at Hotel Africana before the lockdown brought about by the Covid-19 pandemic in 2020.
She says there is a lot she has to show the fans and thus can’t wait for the d-day.
Rema was accompanied by B2C, her friends whose members noted that Rema has been there for them various times and that even when they will be performing at the show, they are also coming as friends.
Unlike many press conferences that are usually attended by sponsors and journalists, this had a heavy presence of artistes such as Pastor Wilson Bugembe, Spice Diana, and Aziz Azion who also revealed that he would be producing the concert.
West Records is the promotion company behind the show while Hamza Ssebunya’s Akrom, a medical equipment supply company is the show’s main sponsor.
