Last year, as hip hop was celebrating 50 years, Ugandan rapper Navio was chosen as one of the influential figures to attend the prestigious Hennessy VIP influencer event in New York.
This year, he was among the few Ugandans to attend the just-concluded Grammy Awards and he did not just go to see the winners but to make the kind of connections perhaps Big Eye was asking Kenzo to give him.
Among the people Navio met was the Recording Academy President Harvey Mason Jr. Details about what the two discussed are still scanty but what we are sure about is that the Ngalo singer is on the right track.
