Pius Mayanja alias Pallaso recently released a song he did with Jamaican artiste Konshens. The song was recorded during Konshen’s four-day stay in Uganda ahead of his performance at Blankets and Wine. It was also during that period that he did a remix of Fik Gaza’s ‘Banana’ alongside Jose Chameleone.
But it is Pallaso’s collaboration titled ‘Want Money’ that is getting most of the attention.
While some people feel like Pallaso didn’t do the song justice others say it did not meet their expectations. Dancehall artiste Vampino says Konshens did not perform to his ability on both ‘Want Money’ and ‘Banana’ rmx.
“The way Konshens sang on both these songs is not the way he sings on his other songs. It was like he was joking. He felt that these artistes feared him. I know him better than that,” Vampino said during his interview with Galaxy TV.
He also added that some international artistes do that because they know Ugandan artistes are the ones who benefit.
“I am a dancehall artiste and I can tell if the artiste was serious or not. He was rushed and that was what A Pass was talking about.” He added.
The Smart Wire artiste further advised his counterparts that if they think he is hating, they should erase Konshens verses on both songs and give him that space to add his raga verses and then put the songs out in the market and gauge them and see what happens.
