It was joy and happiness as Movit Product Limited celebrated 26 years on Saturday, December 9, 2023, at Kakyeka Stadium in Mbarara City.

At the stadium, the festival started early in the morning with hairstyle competitions and price discounts on Movit products until evening hours when speeches from top company officials started before show time from a couple of singers including Dogo City, Lady Mariam, Tindatiine, Ykee Benda, Jose Chameleon Alien Skin, and Omega 256 among others with hype from Mc’s like Kachaina and Lithan Mc.

Revellers were full of joy as they saw their great musicians, Mcs, and comedians on stage until late night when the festival stopped.

The festival event happened after a lot more weekly subsequent activities in town, they included gifting 500 essential care packages to new and expectant mothers at Mbarara Referral Hospital on Friday, and the packages were designed to provide comfort and support to new and expectant mothers who often worry about the necessities of the new-borns. The care package included baby oil, jelly, powder, a baby T-shirt, and baby soap all from the Baby Junior Brand.

According to the Chairman of Movit Group Mr Simpson Birungi, their commitment to corporate social responsibility goes beyond business and Movit has always been deeply rooted in the communities they serve.

“We hope that these care packages will not only provide practical support but also convey our sincere gratitude to the mothers at Mbarara Referral Hospital for their invaluable contributions.” He said

Mr Simpson, the Movit director at the festival, vowed that in the next 10 years, Movit Products Limited will be a household product and a necessity in all countries across the African continent.

The Movit team also visited Father Bash Orphanage (Divine Mercy) and gifted them with products valued at Shs14M to support orphans there before engaging in an activity to clean the Koranorya market on Wednesday.

Movit Products Limited Company was founded in 1997 by Simpson Birungi as a makeshift workshop in Namasuba Wakiso District. It is a beauty and personal care company based in Kampala, manufacturing personal care products. It is now operating in 10 African countries.
