Garfield ‘Konshens’ Spence, will be performing at the much-anticipated Blankets And Wine come Sunday December 17, 2023 at Lugogo Cricket Oval.
The dancehall singer arrived at Entebbe International Airport on Thursday morning alongside his team. During a press conference held at Arcadia Suites this morning, ASP Luke Owesigyire assured revellers that they should expect maximum security as their safety is a priority. “We are committed to making sure that everyone at the event is safe. We shall provide security for the guest artiste when moving around Kampala and at his hotel. He appealed to revellers to follow the guidelines that have been set by the police as there will be police and Counter Terrorism police deployed in and outside of the venue,” he said.
House of DJs the organisers of Blankets and Wine promised to deliver the best just like they have done for the past editions.
“Blankets and Wine celebrates music, love, Fashion and arts this time we are celebrating diversity which is why we have the dancehall king from Jamaica for an all-around unfiltered experience of the music genre. We can’t wait to vibe and groove at this next edition come Sunday,” said Lahm Mukundeta, PR officer House of DJs once before thanking the sponsors and the media for their support.
When the man of the hour took to the floor, he promised nothing short of a beautiful experience with him come Sunday.
“I promise to deliver a lasting performance, and give you best of myself this time around. Ugandans should get ready to leave with a memorable experience after my performance at the Sunday edition of Blankets and Wine,” Konshens promised his fans.
Known for his energetic performances, Konshens puts on a great show. This is the fourth time the Jamaican singer will be performing in the Uganda. Konshens last performed in Uganda in 2015 alongside Busy Signal at Lugogo Cricket Oval at a concert. He had previously been to the country in 2012, and 2013.
After arriving in the country yesterday, Accompanied by his entourage Konshens visited the burial grounds in Wakiso , Nakawuka ,Kagga, to pay his respects to fallen singer Mowzey Radio and met the late’s mother Jane Kasuubo.
In a touching tribute, the “ Bruk Off Yuh Back” hit maker placed a delicate flower on Mowzey Radio’s grave, paying his respects before continuing with his other scheduled commitments.
