The Academy of Queens has introduced the Miss High School (MUHS) pageant, an innovative initiative designed to empower high school girls by seamlessly blending leadership development, community outreach, and academic excellence.
Scheduled to take place from January 8 to the 27, 2024, the debut MUHS pageant, under the visionary leadership of Miss Uganda CEO Brenda Nanyonjo, is not merely competition but a transformation leadership program. Geared towards high school students aged 15-18 years, the pageant serves as a dynamic platform to instill confidence, essential skills, and a visionary mindset, fostering the emergence of female youth change-makers deeply committed to community betterment.
Prospective contestants are invited to register from December 23 to January 8. The auditions phase, scheduled for January 10, will identify participants who will embark on a remarkable 10-day non-residential leadership and life skills boot camp.
“With our partners at Reach A Hand Uganda, this immersive experience will not only hone their leadership skills but also emphasize the importance of community engagement and academic excellence,” said Brenda Nanyonjo.
The Grand Finale, set for Saturday, January 27 at Motiv will witness the crowning of MUHS Queen, 1st Princess, 2nd Princess, Miss Popularity, Miss Talent, Sports and Fitness Princess, Miss Photogenic, and Social Media Princess.
These titles go beyond symbolic recognition, serving as a testament to the participant’s commitment to leadership, community service, and academic excellence.
In a commitment to academic excellence, the MUHS Queen will be awarded an exceptional prize of three terms of school fees. The 1st and 2nd Princess will receive two terms and one term fees respectively. Miss Popularity will also be honored with one term of school fees. As a gesture of appreciation, all finalists will receive school hampers.
