Mr & Mrs IUEA 2023/24
The International University of East Africa (IUEA) over the weekend crowned Mr & Miss IUEA for the academic year 2023/24.
The event held at the main campus in the auditorium, themed “Crowning Beauty Beyond Borders,” was not just a contest but a vibrant celebration of elegance, talent, and the rich cultural diversity that IUEA embodies.
Michael J Musimenta, a Ugandan national and a dynamic first-year student in Business Administration was crowned Mr. IUEA while Ms. Ililta Nezerab Masalab, hailing from Eritrea and also pursuing Business Administration was crowned Ms.IUEA.
Expressing his deep appreciation, Michael remarked, “Witnessing the hard work and dedication of each contestant was inspiring. Together, we have the power to transform dreams into tangible impacts within our vibrant IUEA community.”
Musimenta, who embarked on his IUEA journey in January 2023, is an avid music enthusiast and sports aficionado.
On the other hand, Ililta, who became a part of IUEA in May 2022, brings her passion for acting, traveling, writing, and dancing to the forefront in her message of thanks, she said.
“With grace and dedication, I accept this title and am excited to contribute positively to our university’s growth and success.”
The panel of judges, comprising Joram of Joram Modelling Agency (JMM), Victoria Fox, Chef Idros, and Judith Heard, brought their diverse industry expertise to the fore in evaluating contestants. They focused on poise, confidence, intelligence, talent, and overall presentation.
The crowning of Mr & Miss IUEA 2023-24 is more than a title; it’s a responsibility and an honor.
Besides the crowns, Michael and Ililta will be embarking on remarkable journeys representing IUEA in various prestigious capacities.
