St Andrew’s Ball returns, promises bigger and better experience

For well over the past century, the Caledonian Society of Uganda, (CSU), has organised St Andrew’s Ball which resonates with Uganda and all the communities therein. The ball is always a night to remember. It is the perfect opportunity to celebrate with friends, family or colleagues and to kick off the festive season. Part of the proceeds raised from the ball will be used to support the NGO Brass for Africa.

The celebration that is happening on November 25, 2023 will once again be held at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel. It will be an evening celebrating the best of Scottish food and Highland dancing. As is the tradition, participants don Highland dress, or black tie for those who do not have a kilt.

Guests of all ages welcome and they will enjoy a fabulous night of Scottish entertainment, headlined by The Haggis Chasers Ceilidh Band flown in with Turkish Airlines, from Scotland. This accordion, fiddle, drums band with a difference will bring their authentic tribal sound of Scotland to the great night!

In the run up to the main celebrations, the Scots will have several community events. These include a masterclass at the Kampala Music School and a jam session with Brass for Africa on Friday November 24, 2023.

The evening will begin at 6:00pm with a cocktail reception. The dance is open to beginners and seasoned pros. A few tickets for the event are still available.
