Hillsong London Worship, a group of gospel singers from UK performed in Uganda on Friday. The show that was held at Cricket Oval in Lugogo attracted a full house of Christians who had come to be a part of ‘A night of praise, worship and dance’ concert.
Upon arrival at the enormous Cricket Oval was a huge stage with great lighting and a big screen showing both what was on stage and part of the clips taken from the crowd. The sound was as clean as the output from the microphone that was heard even from outside the venue. All this was the works of Fenon Events that handled the production of the event from providing all equipment for the stage.
Performances kicked off as early as 7:30pm with Ugandan gospel acts entertaining the crowds. The mood was set high with Gabbie Ntaate taking on the stage to perform some of her famous songs before leaving the stage for Levixone. Levixone during his performance brought in legendary singer Grace Morgan who recently returned to Uganda. Together, they did the song ‘Mbeera’.
Eswatini singer and Poet Msandi Kababa was among the international acts of the night. His performance was memorable and he showed how much love and respect he has for his King Mwasiti 111. His outfit, ofcourse from Eswatini had a photo of his king on it.
At 9:30pm, the headlining acts, Hillsong London Worship then came on stage among loud cheers from the crowd. They thanked Ugandans for coming in large numbers even amid a chilly weather and muddy grounds.
They performed songs like ‘Centre of my Life’, ‘Above all’, ‘How Great is Our God’ and ‘Hosanna’ among others. They left no stone unturned as they gave revellers their money’s worth.
