Cinematographer Enoch Kawesi passing on his skills with Masterclass

Because he is always behind the camera, you might have never seen or heard of Enoch Kawesi Katongole alias Kez. Kawesi a cinematographer owns the company Kez Art Collections. He is the videographer behind many music videos and adverts and he has been doing this for more than 10 years. This year, Kaweesi has decided to pass on his skills in photography and videography among others to those who would love to learn.

According to Kawesi, he receives many messages from different people who seek advice about photography and videography. Some want him to teach them how to take photos and make videos. “With many people flooding my inbox and making endless calls about their interest in cinematography, I have decided to make it easy for them by starting a cinematography masterclass,’’ Kawesi says. He adds that the Masterclass is open to many but of course at a fee of Shs200,000 for five days starting on 4th -8th  December 2023 at Sofolx Film studio in Bugoloobi.

Kawesi will not be the sole facilitator of the Masterclass but rather will be joined by Swangz Avenue video director Marvin Musoke and Esther Nakaziba, a special effects and make-up artiste.

So far, according to Kawesi, more than 15 people have already registered online to take part in the first edition of the Masterclass.

Kawesi has worked with different companies as a Director of Photography and some of these include Swangz Avenue, Savy Filmz, and Grate Make among others. He has shot many films and adverts with the recent one being the MTN MOMO pay advert. He has also been on different sets as Art Designer and Gaffer. He has had a hand in music videos like ‘Mataala’ and ‘Jangu’ by Winnie Nwagi, ‘John Rambo’, and ‘Mummy Yo’ by Sheebah among others.
