It was a low start for the 8th edition of the annual Nyege Nyege festival on Thursday but day 2 which was Friday was officially the beginning of the festival for many who accessed the main stage.
When Janzi band stepped on stage at 8pm, crowds started gathering around the stage to witness what one of Uganda’s best bands had in store.
The band didn’t disappoint as they took revelers down memory lane with some classics before juggling on with some of their original compositions.
Usually when artistes have upcoming concerts, they tend not put a hold on other performances elsewhere but not Karole Kasita who made her debut at Nyege Nyege.
She performed her best at the event that some people wondered if it would be the exact showcase she will be staging during her concert next week. Her performance was a mixture of dance and vocals. She did songs like Baba (Burn), Balance, Baby Papa and Checkecha among others alongside backup dancers.
There was no way A Pass who was the next performer would let Kasita take the shine alone. He came on stage in a cargo outfit but later removed the top perhaps to prove how hardworking he has been in the gym for over a year now. This scored him points especially from the ladies. His abs and dance moves drove them crazy.
Among the songs he did included Give me a Kiss, Chupa aku Chupa, Guli Wano and Didadada among others.
