Sunday Fun-Day Party with exclusive Bottle Turn Up experience spice up pre-independence celebrations

Enjoyments leading up to Independence Day were nothing short of thrilling, especially for party lovers that made it for the Sunday Funday party at Kati Kati grounds in Lugogo on the Independence eve.

Johnnie Walker, took it upon themselves to elevate the experience at the weekly Sunday Fun Day, with an electrifying Bottle Turn Up experience to usher in the Independence Day in style

Kati Kati was transformed into a sea of Black, Yellow, and Red, mirroring the Ugandan flag colours, with the legendary Johnnie Walker Striding Man, strategically positioned at the entrance, and also decked out in the same patriotic colours.

The night offered a perfect premium experience that left a lasting impression on all those that turned up to celebrate sixty-one years of Uganda’s Independence.

“This particular edition resonated well with the Johnnie Walker brand because we are celebrating growth and progress. And there was no better way, than to give Ugandans a premium experience like no other, as we celebrate our motherland’s Independence,” said Christine Kyokunda, the Scotch and Reserve Brand Manager Uganda Breweries Limited (UBL).

The festivities kicked off at around 11 pm, when guests started strolling in, in small groups. And by midnight, the Sunday Funday had transformed into a bustling hub of activity, as bottles of Johnnie Walker were flying off the shelves, fully accompanied with sparklers, to the delight of the party animals.

And that was one of the major highlights of the night; the exclusive bottle service, which saw partiers enjoy bottles that were meticulously designed as a work of art, to match the grandeur of the occasion.

Those that didn’t go for the bottle, found a perfect companion in the expertly crafted Johnnie Walker cocktails, that could as well have scooped the award for ‘the crowd’s favourite.’

The DJ lineup for the night knew their audience quite well, as they played all the right tracks and kept the revelers on their feet all night.

The playlist ranged from the trending Ugandan jams, Old School, Hip Hop, to Kidandali (Dancehall), Urban contemporary, and a few remarkable Kadongo Kamu jams that really rocked hard back in the day.

DJs Nash, Mato, Jose Alza, and the Life of the Party- Etania, took turns on the spin tables, delivering electrifying mixes.

Rightly put, the Sunday Funday Johnnie Walker Bottle Turn Up gave fun lovers a chance to enjoy 61 years of Ugandan Independence celebrations with Big Flavour.

The combination of great music, Johnnie Walker whisky, the premium Bottle Turn Up experience, and the patriotic atmosphere made the Pre-Independence Day celebration one for
