Last Sunday, the Uganda police foiled a bomb at Rubaga Miracle Center cathedral where they also arrested a man suspected of trying to activate the explosive device among worshippers.

With upcoming events that are happening in different places, some people have gotten second thoughts on attending but the deputy police spokesperson, SP Patrick Onyango has come out and given Ugandans assurance about their security.

While attending musician Geosteady’s press conference earlier today at Africana, Onyango said events are safe.

“I assure you that Uganda is safe and we are not going to cancel any event simply because of what transpired a few days back. Not just Geosteady’s concert but all the other events that are going to be happening are so safe,” Onyango said.

He, however, called out to each and everyone to be vigilant and report any abandoned luggage, bags, and other items to the nearest police station because security starts with you.

Asked why he attended the press conference, Onyango added that Geosteady has been his personal friend ever since the issues of the child that he was reported to have fathered.

The ‘Sembera’ artiste is going to be staging his concert this Friday at Africana People’s space starting at 6 pm till late.
