Most artistes do not only make a living off stage performances, they have other avenues they survive on, including streams and payments if their songs are used in movies. However, Geosteady chose to forego one of those avenues when he allowed his music to be used for free during the launch of the Ikon Awards earlier this week.
“Geosteady has allowed us to use his music free of charge and we have used it in movies such as Kyadala, When You Become Me and others,” Reach a hand founder and team leader Humphrey Nabimanya revealed.
Despite the agreement both parties had, they had to sign a consent form to avoid copyright infringement that has become an issue in the entertainment industry for long.
