Napoleone, a stand-up comedian who has been on different comedy stages for a while, has decided to pass on his talent among other creative skills to the youth in his region Teso and Lango.
Napoleone will for the next one year be a busy comedian in and out of Kampala skilling youths through his project ‘EYOTAB’ (Empowering Youths Through Talent Building).
According to the comedian, he has been approached by youths interested in the creative industry during his King Comes Home shows that happen twice a year in Soroti and Lira.
“Many young people would come to me and ask for help on how to join the creative industry with many focusing on comedy but without anywhere to start from,” he says.
With this, he looked for a way to help them and through a friend, they looked for funding and set up a skilling centre.
“This was how EYOTAB was set up after MasterCard Foundation agreed to work with me. The project will run for one year at Nakatunya in Soroti with auditions taking place on September 1st with only 150 slots up for grabs.
