Zani Lady C bounces back with another classic

Lady Zani C

Singer Susan Basemera known by stage name Zani Lady C had taken a big break on music to concentrate on acting. The Ugandan singer based in California is also an actress in Hollywood and has featured in movie projects like Love Collision, Can you keep a secret and Little America.

For a while, she has not been doing music and had given it a break until late last year. Zani who returned to Uganda in December last year did some musical projects with Nince Henry and this is when she announced that she had returned to do music.

Since then, Zani has been on rampage and she has so far released several songs in space of 8 months. Her latest song is titled ‘Maria’ and it was released a few days ago. Unlike other recent songs like ‘Nindako’ and ‘Nzembiteleza’ that have the touch of Nince Henry the writer, Maria brings out the real Zani Lady C of ‘Ndoowa’ and Chimalo, songs that she did a few years ago.

Zani says she wrote the song ‘Maria’ herself during the pandemic and chose a later date for the release and after about one year and a half, the song is here. ‘Maria’ talks about how one woman ditched a man and he fell in love with another woman but the ex keeps haunting the man in the new relationship in a verge to have him back.
