Mudra
Despite penning almost all Karole Kasita’s hits including ‘Yaka’, ‘Moto’, ‘Binyuma’, ‘Baby Papa’, and ‘Balance‘ among other artistes, Mudra came out and said that he received his biggest pay after writing for a Swangz Avenue artiste.
“I went to Swangz and wrote Vinka’s song titled ‘My Baibe’, they respected my work, I signed and they gave me one million. It was the most I had gotten as a writer. I made them listen to other songs including Ayi and they liked it and offered a million but I asked for two,” he said in a recent interview.
The ‘Muyayu‘ artiste said that contrary to the industrial area based label, Karole Kasita even after giving her hits, always delayed payment even when it was less.
