Zani Lady C, a Ugandan singer and actress in Hollywood has put a smile on the face of a singing group known as Friction Force. The group which comprises four young boys started doing music in 2020 but because of a lack of finances, they are still struggling.
According to one of the members, they have only one song recorded and released and 3 other songs written but not yet recorded. In a few days, the group will have a second song released and probably with a video shot thanks to diaspora-based singer and actress Zani Lady C.
Zani met these boys on a Facebook live video chat hosted by Mc Richie, a diaspora-based blogger who is Zani’s friend. While on the chat, she saw the Friction Force boys do some freestyle and tell their story to Mc Richie and this wowed her. It was from there that Zani asked to help send the boys to record a song. This is already being done at Producer Artin’s studio in Makindye where she pays for studio sessions.
“I met them live through Mc Richie’s page. They were talking about themselves and their lives. I found out that they have talent, so I decided to sponsor their first song and studio session. I just want to motivate them and make sure they can believe in themselves’’ Zani Lady C said.
She said if the audio came out nicely, why not? She will sponsor their video and see how to further help them.
The boys stay together in a rented room in Makindye on Salaama Road and they started doing music in 2020 but so far, they only had one song released until Zani came through and now they are planning to release an audio for a song titled ‘Ndi mukoddo’.
Zani Lady C is a legendary Ugandan singer who sang ‘Ndoowa‘ way back. She also has songs like ‘Goolo Goolo’, ‘Chimalo’ featuring Jackie Chandiru, and ‘Nindako‘ among others. In her Hollywood career, she featured in movies like Can You Keep a Secret, Love Collision, and Little America among others.
