Musician Sheebah Karungi has upgraded from a concert to something bigger with her Yolo festival happening this year.
The festival is however, is scheduled on the same day as fellow musician King Michael’s concert and this has left fans’ tongues wagging, epecially why she would put a concert on a day that another artiste had announced to have his.
However, Sheebah who is one of the top leaders in Uganda National Musicians Federation (UNMF) has come out to shade off the accusations, arguing that she had planned the festival for a year.
“About a year or so, I created YOLO Festival! It was supposed to kick off last year but I had a concert that I wanted to focus on 100 percent so I pushed it to this year!” she posted.
The self-proclaimed Queen Karma, however, promised that her festival would be unique, saying it’s not about her.
“It’s not a Sheebah concert; it’s an entertainment festival that will be celebrating the whole entertainment industry in Uganda, including all our amazing fans and it’s going to be happening every year!!!! I can’t wait to tell you all about it!!”
King Michael is yet to make any statement about the date clash between his show and Sheebah’s.
However, Sheebah’s festival was announced days after the Kwata Kwata Woyagala singer said he disagreed with the federation’s stand on copyright law.
