It was a full house at UMA multipurpose hall last evening as stand-up comedy duo Madrat and Chiko returned on stage for the fourth edition of their Nseko Buseko annual show.
Having been performing together for the last nine years, the chemistry between the two was evident as they threw jibes at each other in the middle of their performance to remind their hundreds of fans about their beginning.
Unlike some comedians who employ vulgar language to entertain revellers, the duo’s jokes were clean and engaging as they involved the audience.
They made body shame jokes about each other, tackled trending public interest subjects like DNA testing, the inequalities in society and the way people behave in different situations, among others.
The most interesting piece was their collaboration with Fun Factory members to do a heavenly skit involving key figures in Uganda’s politics.
The show however was not all about comedy as the audience got some musical performances from Eddy Kenzo, Geosteady, Pr Wilson Bugembe and Alien Skin alongside young musician, Champion Gudo who received many cash tips from revellers.
Nseko Buseko Season four was organized by Talent Africa Group while Nation Media’s NTV-Uganda was one of the key sponsors.
